Food Art: A Beautiful Unicorn

This beautiful unicorn snack is loaded full of fresh fruits and veggies and features kid-favorite Kix cereal too!  Your kids will love helping you in the kitchen, and you’ll be surprised at just how easy it is to make!

What You’ll Need

kix honey cereal

Ingredients:

1 brown pear, sliced in half lengthwise

1 large carrot

2 raisins – 1 large and 1 small

a handful of Honey Kix Cereal

Tools:

1 Julienne carrot cutter (please supervise children if allowing them to use this tool)

 

How To Make It

1. Place your sliced brown pear on a plate with the larger end facing up towards the right top corner of the plate.

2. Use your julienne carrot slicer (please supervise children) and slice your large carrot into thin strips.  Place these thin strips on your plate for the unicorn’s mane of hair.

3. Grab your raisins and place the larger raisin on your pear for the eye, and your smaller raisin on the pear for a nostril.  If you are having difficulty getting these details to stick, a small dab of cream cheese will help.

4. Take your Honey Kix cereal and create the unicorn’s horn at the top of the pear.
