Food Art: An Arbor Day Tree Snack

For Arbor day this year, I created this super cute and amazingly easy snack to help kids celebrate this holiday, and to remind them how important trees are for the Earth and for us!  With just a few ingredients, you can make this snack in minutes.

Kix Veggie Arbor Day Tree Snack

What You’ll Need

Arbor day tree veggie ingredients

Ingredients:

A handful of broccoli florets

1 slice of red bell pepper

1 large pretzel stick

Ranch dressing for dipping (optional)

Tools:

A small heart-shaped cookie cutter

How To Make It

Step 1: start with a pretzel rod

1. Place your large pretzel stick on a plate.

Step 2: Surround the top of the pretzel rod with florets

2. Take your broccoli florets, and place them at the top of your pretzel stick to resemble a tree.

Step 3: Make a heart out of the red pepper slice

3. Grab your slice of red pepper and your small heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut a heart out of your piece of pepper.  Place this heart on your broccoli tree.  Optionally, serve with a side of ranch dressing.
