Boredom Buster: Paper Plate Flying Disc

Here’s a great project to bring a little summertime fun indoors on a cold and dreary day … paper plate flying discs! We saw this paper plate craft from our blogger, Crafts by Amanda, and had to try it out for ourselves. They work surprisingly well, and are safe enough for indoor play (nothing brings excitement like a distance contest!).

You will need:

2 paper plates

Clear packing tape

Scissors

Markers or crayons for decorating

shipping tape on both sides of plate

Start by decorating the outside of the plates. When dry and ready, cover both sides of the plates with clear packing tape.

cut hole into both paper plates

Cut a hole in the middle of both plates.

Put the two plates together (insides facing each other) and tape the sides together. You are now ready for some serious paper plate flying action!
