NEW YORK MAKER FAIRE:
At Kix, we’re all about ways to fuel the imagination and inspire creativity in kids. That’s why we were particularly proud to sponsor the Nerdy Derby at this year’s New York Maker Faire. It was a full fun two days of revved up ingenuity gone wild as kids crafted the most creative machines to go head-to head on the epic Nerdy Derby racing track. Thanks to all who came out. KIDS MAKER DAY:
Let the making begin! Kix hosted its first Maker Day event and it was a blast—and not just because water-bottle-rockets were being launched toward the ceiling. Four creativity partners joined us—Makers Guild, Play from Scratch, Leonardo’s Basement and Make Magazine—each bringing hands-on art and science projects that jump-started kids’ brains and sent them home with even more ideas for fun projects. The event filled a giant room with dozens of kids of all ages plus their parents, all excited to make projects using LED lights, felt, cardboard connectors, and reclaimed “junk.” Check out photos from the event below, and see how Kix is supporting creativity in children.
