Food Art: A Lovely Lion Snack
This lovely lion snack is a delicious, kid-approved snack in my house. Made with some of their favorite fruits and their favorite Kix cereal, it’s no wonder they gobbled it up quicker than you can say, ROAR!
What You’ll Need
Ingredients:
1 cup of Kix Cereal
1 slice of naval orange
2 slices of banana
4 black or red grapes
6 slivered almonds
Tools:
A kitchen knife (please supervise children if allowing them to slice)
How To Make It
1. Place 1 slice of a naval orange on a plate. Slice 2 pieces of a banana and place these slices on the orange slice to make ears for your lion.
2. Grab a few black or red grapes and slice the grapes to make 2 eyes, 1 nose and a mouth for your lion.
3. Take 6 slivered almonds and place them on your lion – 3 on each side of the nose – for the whiskers.
4. Finally, grab some Kix cereal and arrange the Kix cereal around the outside of the orange slice to make the lion’s mane.
