Food Art: An Easter Breakfast For Kids
Easter will be here before we know it and kids love to celebrate this time of year with sweet little baby chickies. This delicious Easter breakfast will be sure to delight your kids on Easter morning and fill their little bellies!
What You’ll Need
1 piece of whole-wheat bread
1 baby carrot
2 black sesame seeds
1 bowl of Kix cereal with milk
Tools: (please supervise children if allowing them to slice and/or cook)
A kitchen knife
a small frying pan
How To Make It
1. Place your piece of bread in the toaster and toast until desired doneness. Place on a plate.
2. Fry your egg sunny side up in a small frying pan. When the egg is fully cooked, slide the egg from the frying pan on to the piece of toast on the plate.
3. Using your knife, slice a small triangle beak and 2 small feet from your baby carrot. Place the beak and feet on your egg to look like a chickie. Use 2 black sesame seeds for the eyes.
4. Serve the chickie egg with a yummy bowl of Kix Cereal with milk to complete the meal.

Before she had kids, Jill couldn’t cook much of anything except toast and cereal, and really despised being in the kitchen. People who know her personally find it extremely humorous that she is now the self-proclaimed “Queen of fun food.” Jill blogs at Meet the Dubiens, where she shares lots of fun foods and crafts for kids.
